What if I have a small family or bridal party?

Having fewer group photos can impact the timeline and help us save time. If you want to attend a bit of your cocktail hour, but don't want to do a first look, reducing group photos can help achieve that.

It can also mean that less morning coverage is needed since fewer photos of bridesmaids and groomsmen are required.

When should we do the first dance and cake cutting?

First, it's your wedding, so while I have recommendations, take into account what your dream day would look like!

First dances are great to do either:

A) Right when you enter the reception as a way to build on the excitement

B) About 15 minutes after the cake cutting, while your guests are eating their dessert.

I recommend giving speeches while guests are finishing their meal, and then cutting the cake immediately following, so the dessert can be served.

I don't want a ton of couples photos, how does that change things?

If you're doing a first look, we can get couples photos done before the ceremony and do none the rest of the night!

If you aren't doing a first look, I recommend committing to two separate photo times so it feels like less of a photoshoot. This typically looks like 15-20 minutes after the group family portraits, and sneaking away for another 15-20 minutes at sunset.

I don't really care about getting ready photos, what time would you start if that's the case?

I'd still like to be there early enough to capture all the details and decor. In addition, I want to get photos of you getting your dress buttoned, veil put on, etc.

The morning is also a great time to get individual portraits out of the way as well as photos of you with your bridesmaids/groomsmen done. After that, we need a bit of ceremony prep time.

At minimum, I like to be there 1.5-2 hours pre-ceremony.
